Surf camp budget Hostel accomodation Cabarete sports

Swell Surf Camp Dominican Republic is a brand new hotel experience . We built it because we got tired of ‘Surf Camp’ immediately translating as ‘Second-Rate' hotel accommodation.

We have placed the camp in one of the best locations available, just minutes walk from the beach AND the town, eliminating the need for transportation. Our surfcamp transportation can take you to the surf each day and brings you home again.

Months of designing and tweaking by Swell staff, has resulted in a really good looking, secure and usable building.
Set inside a courtyard, the accommodation is mostly on the second floor with mountain views.

Each room is spacious, tastefully and nicely decorated with surfing or kite-boarding themes. Beds, pillows, mattresses and sheets have been specially chosen for their comfort so that even though you might not choose to spend much time sleeping, when you are, it will feel very good.

Each room has air-conditioning available on request and a ceiling fan as standard. You can choose from a double room with full Queen-sized bed, to a well designed hostel style dorm room with four beds, two of which sit on a mezzanine level.


Our lovely pool (lit by 120+ fibre optic lights) is shaded in part by palm trees and you have a choice of sun loungers or huge bean bags to lie around on.

If you want a little more activity, play pool on our Brunswick Geneva pool table, ping pong in the shade, a game of fussball and a variety of well known board games to keep you occupied.
God forbid that it should rain, we even have a TV and a DVD movie library to keep us going.

We are confident that our place here in the center of Cabarete, Dominican Republic is going to exceed your expecations of what a surf camp holiday can be like!

Stay 1 night, stay 1 week or stay for 6 months, at Swell anything is possible! Needless to say, the longer you stay, the better deal you will get from us.

A stay at Swell starts at less than $250 USD per week for quality accommodation, with fan, ensuite + a really great breakfast! A/C is also available upon request.

Since our place is brand new and purpose-built hostel style accomodation in cabarete, we have been able to make sure it's the perfect place to sleep, play and hang-out. Our surf camp in Cabarete, Dominican Republic is designed with activities in mind; we have a top quality pool table and ping-pong table, a beautiful swimming pool and sun-bathing deck. We've also got a TV/DVD for watching the latest movies or surf/kite videos.

We can also arrange a bunch of other activities for you, if your arms need a break from surfing. How about a tranquillo day trip to Playa Grande or Mountain Biking or Horse Riding in stunning scenery?
