In our years of surfing travels, we've seen plenty of poor surf camps with crappy locations, rooms and beds, complete with inedible food, so we built Swell as the antidote. ‘Surf Camp’ no longer needs to imply ‘second-rate' hotel accommodation.

The only purpose built surf camp

Swell is the only place in the Dominican Republic that was purposely built as a surf camp. It's not a conversion from an old house, huts, or residential apartments.

After years of working in the surf travel industry & having seen lots of surf camps around the world, we knew exactly what we wanted in a building; comfortable accommodation, a modern design, a tropical garden and a central heart of the building for socializing which all our guests quickly call 'home away from home'.

 

The communal area

The central heart of Swell surf camp, this is where our guests get together, play ping pong, shoot some pool, have a healthy breakfast or dinner and send Facebook updates to their mates at home about how much they are enjoying their surf holiday with us.

Each room is spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated with surfing themes. Beds, pillows, mattresses and sheets have been specially chosen so that your night-time comfort is guaranteed
