SUP Cabarete

The choice of activities on offer at Swell and in the Cabarete region is almost limitless. Apart from skiing or snowboarding (for the obvious reasons) pretty much every sporting activity is available to you from our camp.
We have picked the best available surf instructors, some of them acknowledged champions in their sports. We are also experienced surfers, kiteboarders and windsurfers ourselves so we know what we are talking about. ( Read about the Swell staff here ).

Surfing // Lessons, rentals and guided surf trips

We are only a few minutes by camp transportation from Encuentro the Dominican Republic’s most consistent surf break.
If you are a beginner, there is NO better place in the world to learn to surf. No wet-suits or cold water shocks for you here.
If you are an experienced surfer, Encuentro is also great for you, offering several different peaks.
We can also organize trips to several other great surf breaks less than one hour away from the Camp - our local knowledge of all the surf spots and when they are worth visiting (or not) is without parallel. Don't want to bring your own board or want to test other boards? We have a large selection of top quality surfboards.

Stand up paddle surfing (SUP) // Lessons and rental

SUP is a new and exciting sport and Cabarete often has excellent conditions to learn the basics inside the bay, where the water is flat, or if you are more experienced, you can enjoy the waves on the reef where it is likely to be just you and maybe 1 or 2 others on the water!

Kite surfing // kite surf lessons and guided down wind trips

Just across the road from our camp is Bozo Beach; a kite-surfer's paradise. Kite Beach and the flat water river mouth of La Boca are also only a very short ride away.

We are proud of the fact that we are the safest and best kitesurf school in Cabarete, since we have the most experienced kite instructor working with us and we teach with the latest kitesurf gear.

Yoga and Spinning

Twice per week, a great Yoga teacher is on hand at Swell to get your body nicely stretched and centred. Our own Spinning studio is located in the town center. The Surf/Spin/Yoga package is the ultimate sports activity vacation.

Other Sports
Any of the following activities can be organized for you during your stay at our surf camp; Windsurfing, Wakeboarding, World-class Mountain Biking, Diving, Snorkeling, Deep Sea Fishing, Horse Riding, White Water Rafting, Canyoning, Dune Buggies and even salsa or merengue dance lessons!
