Caribbean surf camp
I had a great time at Swell. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful and encouraging and the food was great. I did the "learn to surf" package and thought a week was good for a taste of surfing. My favorite moment (except catching a wave, of course) was getting back to the camp from surfing for a giant, tasty breakfast. Cabarete is friendly and full of great food and near other things to do and the camp pool and garden are a great place to relax. Other guests were great to hang out with

About our surf camp
Swell is the only new, purpose-built surf camp in the Caribbean. Located on the North coast of the Dominican Republic, right in the surfer-town of Cabarete, just 20 minutes away from Puerto Plata international airport.
Our surf camp has been especially designed and built for surfers of all levels, who love to stay in a very comfortable, social place in a great location.
Swell has taken surf camp holidays to a whole new level; still affordable, but now including all modern day comforts like a stylish, clean and spacious room, all with en-suite, a beautiful swimming pool set in a lush tropical garden and centrally located, close to beaches and the vibrant surf town of Cabarete.
Since we at Swell are active surfers and kiters ourselves, we think we have succeeded in designing the ultimate, tropical surf camp in Cabarete for you to stay on your next surfing holiday.
Cabarete surfOur large communal area provides an attractive, relaxing space and is the focal point of the camp. Guests enjoy the free WiFi and the ultimate dining table where they eat our now legendary breakfasts and suppers whilst chatting with fellow guests.
There are comfy bean bags and a TV with a library of movies/surf/kite videos to enjoy. We also understand that you active surf folks can't sit still for long, so a pool table, fussball and table tennis table are provided.
When it is finally time for a real rest, lie in one of the hammocks strung beneath the palm trees or on a comfortable lounger by the pool.
